Plentiful Parking
Despite low usage of parking garages, 69% of people do not typically have trouble finding parking in Downtown Spartanburg. There are 3,121 free parking spaces available downtown, a 22-space increase since pre-COVID.

Outside of Main Street-Morgan Square, Downtown Spartanburg pedestrian traffic counts are up 17% compared to 2019, even without events and programming drawing an influx of pedestrians.

May 2021 marked a record high in Downtown Spartanburg Food and Beverage sales. While citywide sales grew 7%, downtown restaurants beyond Main Street-Morgan Square experienced a 22% increase.
New Investment
A pedestrian Main Street-Morgan Square has led to a surge in downtown investment, with 227.6m announced or in the pipeline. 100% of potential investors have voiced their support of a pedestrianized Main Street-Morgan Square.
